Aiden O'Malley was a Dukes-born Irish-American linked to criminals in Ireland and Dukes. He was an associate of Derrick McReary and Bucky Sligo, whom he often worked with. O'Malley, who spoke with an Irish accent, had spent most of his adult life in Ireland and Britain, linked with several paramilitary and terrorist groups.
In 1995, O'Malley was convicted for a string of robberies, based on testimony from McReary (who did not remember giving evidence), and was serving a twenty year prison term. Whilst inside, O'Malley griped about McReary's part in his incarceration, and his friend Sligo threatened the lives of McReary's family, much to McReary's distress.
In 2008, O'Malley offered information which may have led to arrests, and gave testimony at a Police station in Algonquin. Before he was transported back to the Alderney State Correctional Facility, McReary's brother, Packie McReary planned a bust out in the Booth Tunnel. With the assistance of Niko Bellic, the Police were wiped out and the prison van with O'Malley inside was commandeered. After losing the Police pursuits, a grateful O'Malley was bundled into a car and driven to the cliffs in Leftwood. O'Malley was brought out of the car and enjoyed the outside scenery after being in prison for so long. He asked his liberators who ordered his bust-out, and was told that it was Derrick McReary, much to O'Malley's disgust. O'Malley was then killed by Bellic by the order of Packie. Niko shoots O'Malley, and his body falls down the cliffs. The Police eventually recovered and identified his body.
