John "Johnny Spaz" Barbosa (1983-2008) was a 25-year old associate to the Pegorino Family, led by James Pegorino. He was the youngest associate to the gang and his nickname is 'Johnny Spaz'. Barbosa had resided in Alderney City, Alderney, Liberty City. Johnny Barbosa is close friends with Luca Silvestri, working alongside him and Joe DiLeo for Ray Boccino. Barbosa, along with Silvestri and DiLeo, work as waste collectors and collect diamonds for Boccino, later keeping them for themselves. In the mission Meltdown, Niko Bellic kills Barbosa in Middle Park on orders from Boccino. He had been arrested on six occasions: in 2000 for petit larceny, in 2001 for grand larceny, in 2002 for being in possession of a controlled subtance (namely marijuana), in 2004 for assault and petit larceny, and in 2005 for driving whilst intoxicated.
