Connie Lavell (wife)
Bernard is a character in the 1933 film Harridan of the Seine and is presumably portrayed by David Allison who received star crediting on the films poster. Bernard is a French national who, while living in New York City, meets and marries the 'beautiful and naive' Connie Lavell after receiving a $100 dowry from her father. The newly married couple move to Paris where Bernard sells Connie to his mother Huguette, who uses Connie as a slave. Connie, while Bernard is passed out, stabs him in the neck and pushes his mother off a bridge before briefly escaping until she is killed by a trolley running her over.
